Description
Repaint of the HCA Vigilance class. This particular vessel was retrofitted with two extra pulse cannon turrets and a new orbital Mega Laser Gun. The Guardian's most famous battle is the Liberation of Laomedia, where this ship single-handedly destroyed a Grox Cruiser after its entire fighter escort was wiped out. The vessel saved millions of ground troops and refugees from being destroyed that day, but was heavily damaged in the process. Even so, the vessel stayed in patrol of local space for 2 months after the battle, and the crew literally had to be dragged off their posts before the ship could be taken to a shipyard for repairs.

If I make a capital letter L-shaped pistol from a rectangle and a cylinder, then it makes sense to make both grey, otherwise it will look like a pipe on a wall. The grey puts them together, as one image

Conversely, you can use simple, single-color textures to make several small parts seem like one whole part.

The white and red wings' detailed texture works great for singular, big parts.

The black wings here seem like regular armor, like a gunshield. I would make them red or white to give them a feeling of hardness

It implies a mechanical function, like guns shoot and engines glow.

The guns and engines here have a black theme, which makes sense. But its kinda confusing that part of the hull and wings are black too

Make it easy to tell which parts are glass, armor, weapons or misc. gear
By Flail_Patriot
The black parts might as well be red or white, that would make the ship feel more like a single shape

Here, it is very easy to tell that the ship is made from different parts stuck together

Without being specific, just decide on a dirty or shiny style and then stick to textures that fit it, with the same color (except for stuff like labels or literal paint)
