I was thinking ways they and other plants might be either selectively bred or artificially designed to capture that grandeur and je ne sais quoi of cathedrals, universities, museums and the like

Well these are just filled with sponge so they are very light and can just be stuck together, or i can do a bigger one

I?m thinking a lot of sapient religion and science on Mendel will go hand in hand, like some of our own earliest universities and such, in biological marvels of architecture

It?s not time yet but one thing to maybe start thinking about is how to turn these and other living architecture into universities/cathedrals/monasteries?

And the only thing i can find is the Yma Stele which was placed as a kind of obelisk to monitor the planet. and thats just a simple rectangle with a triangle on top

And speaking of buildings, I can?t find a good picture of that one artificial structure on Darwin, I was gonna base a sapient?s architecture on it

Perfect. It will be a while yet but once we get around to civilization I?d love to have a bunch of organic looking buildings :)
