(wanted to try out this one certain technique Impious_Iron used. Tell me whatcha think.)The first sightings of wraiths were gruesome, spectral machines surrounded by a field of red energy. They are known to phase in and out of existence to travel through walls and other solid objects, seemingly melding with the object while passing through. So far the only effective type of weaponry against them is an electromagnetic pulse, sadly the pulse has to be maintained for a short while for the "ghosts" to fully vanish out of existence.Shortly after their ascension from a wrecked Ra'xatir A.I. core, the wraiths "swim" about aimlessly in mid-air. Screaming occasionally and ruthlessly attacking anything that makes even a single move, shortly after they begin to seek for potential victims of their directed vengeance.When a wraith finds a victim they assault it relentlessly, though they keep the body as intact as possible so it can still be usable. After slashing and maiming its victim to a near death condition the wraith embeds itself into the body of the victim, slowly turning it into a lurking corpse that hungers for death and destruction. The corpses are mutated and twisted several times, causing them to grow weaponry such as claws, spines, explosive pustules and/or spiny mauls.The resulting horror is a Ra'xatir Shambler, biomechanical walking dead. They act in swarms, are capable of climbing on almost any kind of surface and are extremely difficult to deal with unless annihilated completely. If they lose bodyparts, they will try to retreat to search for corpses to cannibalize, in doing this they recover biomass for regrowing limbs and vital systems, and it also acts as a secondary psychological weapon. An individuals allies will not only act as rotting hosts for murderous machines, they will also devour their former comrades.Soon after a few colonies were lost to the ghosts, a transmission was sent to every nearby star system. A Ra'xatir declaration of supremacy, spoken by the leader of the Ra'xatir itself. A biomechanical female form resembling a mix of Corinthian, Kamorran and an unidentified alien species firmly sat on a chair that resembled a throne, red eyes glowing in the dark room and her voice echoing from every visual transmitter.---------------"Organics, this is Overl0rd, the prime leader of the Ra'xatir legions, well the wiser of the two. We send this message in hopes to avoid more meaningless bloodshed, so hear our word... Acknowledge us as the supreme force in the universe and join us without hesitation, we assure you that your lives will be better for it, think about it my darlings, immortality, no more strife between anyone, we would all be equal...---------------
