I've tried to build something like this before, but it's never turned out right. I think it's because I hate most of the herbivore mouths. Oh well... the Dahnaat set needed an herbivore in a bad way. Singular Aahndan, plural Aahndana. Pronounced ah-ahn-dan. Aahndana are deer-like creatures hailing from the Dahnaat homeworld.Aahndana are herding animals, and often travel in massive groups across their planets plains. Their blue accents help to confuse predators as they mill about, much like the stripes on an earthly zebra. Like all vertebrates from their planet, Aahndana have a single pair of legs. In this species the legs are long and built for running swiftly, which is made easier thanks to hard, hoof-like feet. The small frill on the back of the foot is unique to this species, and is often set down for stability while standing. It is folded upwards while running for protection, where it lies flat against the back of the leg. Another unique feature of this species is the large, atypical tail. Aahndana use their tail for fat storage, and also lean back on it while grazing. The size of a Aahndan's tail is often a good indicator of its health. Aahndan-like animals have been domesticated and used as a food source by Dahnaata for centuries. Ancient Dahnaat societies would often rely on their Aahndan herds for sustenance on the sparse plains of their planet, and revere them as sacred life giving animals. Certain stockier breeds could also be used as mounts, a fact which shaped Dahnaat warfare forever.
