Split across three eras Enterprise, Original Series, and Next Generation I have 11 Star Trek races, 1,146 ships, and 276 maps. Unmodded, the game has 4 races, 60 ships, and about 20 maps.

In my opinion the best Star Trek game i've seen is Star Trek Legacy with the Trek Battles III mod.
