Description

Much revered, the Lord Ganesh is the God of Good Fortune and the Destroyer of Obstacles.

The image of the Lord Ganesh shines forth with many significant symbols. His image is actually comprised of 4 creatures together: man, elephant, serpant, and mouse. Each creature symbolizes unique abailities, qualities, or knowledge.

Notice that one foot is placed firmly in the material world, whereas the other is open to the realm of spirit and divinity. The four arms of Ganesh represent four aspects of our subtle bodies: mind, intellect, conscience, and ego. In Lord Ganesh they are united, and function fully as one: atonement enbodied!

Many meanings have been ascribed to his broken tusk. It is frequently seen as a representation of his ability to transcend the illusions of Duality. But stories abound!

Within and unto himself, Ganesh is believed to hold an infinite number of Universes, thus the very large belly! Ganesh is considered the enbodiment or incarnantion of the entire Cosmos!
