Description
The Dansi FT-3 is a self-powered interplanetary and atmospheric explorer that attaches to the FT-3Bi robotic engine module for interstellar travel. Seen here are two FT-3's with the upper ship detached from its FT-3Bi, and the lower ship attached to the module. The FT-3, when detached, is a very small, capable and maneuverable ship suited perfectly to planetary visits. The FT-3Bi is a outfitted with interstellar warp engines, its own weaponry and a robotic pilot seen here as the nacelle on lower center of the craft. It is capable of fully autonomous operation and can be sent on it own missions while the pilot of the FT-3 conducts planetary explorations. When attached to the FT-3Bi, the FT-3 is as fast, powerful and long ranged as more conventional two engine fighters. A single pilot using the FT-3 and FT-3Bi combination can be nearly as effective on missions as two separate manned ships.
