(I suck at poetry btw)
Flies through the night, hides during the day,
The Shadow flows through the darkness from the light.
Cornered and trapped, contained and tired,
The Shadow is realeased, free in the cool night.

I am pretty old and I also hate crowds. I tend to withdraw into myself. I force myself to go and hang with my friends and that helps. But again not in large crowds. Love your description!!!
