The Messerschmitt Bf 110 was a twin engine heavy fighter/Ground-attack fighter used by the Luftwaffe in WWII.It could carry an exceptable amount of weaponary .It was often dubbed "Eisenseiten" [Ironsides] by Luftwaffe Pilots.

Eisenseiten? While I won´t say this is untrue, it is a name that sounds very weird in German. Are You sure You do not mean Eisenschwein (probably best translated as "Lead sled")?
