Depending on the computer system you have. Some browsers work better than others. e.g I have a MAC a Safari doesn't work for this but FireFox does.

For the long description, after you've uploaded your creation. Go out of Spore to Spore.com. Then go to your cration in the Sporpedia there. You'll see that you can update (a add to) your desciption a tags.
