Description
Keilisk are large parasitic creatures native to the planet Daetius. The average size is about 2 ft in length from tip to tip (1 ft long shell). They collect nutrients by latching on to the prey using their tentacles, biting and sucking up blood from their host by using the mouth on their underside. The blood is then held in a sack on the backside of their shell that expands as it fills. They will take as much as possible sometimes killing the host in the process. They then bring what they dont need back to the queen. The drones do not have "hive mind" so if they want, and individual can go off on it's own. However, if they do it is extremely unlikely they survive the extremely hars winter, as only loyal subjects will receive warmth and nutrition from the queen for hibernating over the winter. Up to 100 Keilisks can live under the rule of one queen.
