Description
The first bones of this raptor were discovered in 1990, the full specimun was unearthed in 2004, and it was finally named in 2010! Balaur live on Hateg Island (now Romania). It grew 5 feet long and had a not one but two switchblade claws!

Second Balaur attacks and tries to leap. Bradycneme dodges leap. Balaur stumbles and falls to the ground. Bradycneme slits his throat.

Bradycneme pair attending eggs. Balaur mob of 4 appears. Bradycneme steps up to attack. Balaur tries to leap, but can't go very high. Bradycneme strikes him with his claw and kills him.

Balaur was probably an omnivore, mostly hunting, but probably also eating plants. I can imagine a mob of these attacking a pair of Bradycneme.

I love this guy. A beefed up, larger cousin to Velociraptor! And he had 2 sickle claws - BUT ON EACH FOOT! :D

thats not all thats unquie about this one though. it was built bulkier, only had two functioning figures, the third of which wasn't even visible, had fused bones in its hands that further limited there use, and had short arms for a dromaeosaur.
