Description

Wearing nothing but a loincloth, boots, body paint, a brace of pistols and a cutlass this Melanesian Headhunter is a crew member of The Orca, a pirate ship. A headhunter isn't allowed to marry until he has taken the head of an enemy and, since these pirates have taken many, many heads, they could marry a large harem of women. They serve under Captain Rangda of Bali, as they call her, a young woman they grew up with and adore. She's strict disciplinarian but, in addition to the treasure booty they all share, they are allowed to shrink and sell their trophies. The captain and crew had to flee their home island during an invasion. Most of their families were wiped out in the ensuing slaughter. Moon Orchid, Capt. Rangda's given name, led the survivors to safety after capturing one of the invader's small ships. They eventually found a suitable island in the Indonesian Archipelago to settle and start new families. At first, they nearly starved before some subsistence crops were harvested. Meanwhile, Capt. Randa and her crew started hunting down the invaders for revenge. They picked their targets carefully and over a period of time captured bigger ships and the cargo they held. By the time they acquired The Orca, the bloodshed and gold had completely seduced them. There was no longer any excuse of revenge, it was all about the money. Capt. Rangda kept her head enough to pick isolated ships that had strayed out of the main shipping routes. The Orca is a very fast ship and small enough to hide among the small islands. She can slip out in pursuit of a target and subdue it quickly with her eight cannons. Capt. Rangda is a merciless pirate, leaving no witnesses alive to identify her ship and crew. She evaded all attempts to capture her and she and her crew eventually retired to their new island home to raise Kopi Luwak (Civet Coffee). Their coffee crops bring in more gold than their piratical raids ever did.
