My third entry in the sporescavenger hunt2010. Category Gagprop.
Fact: The Green or Common Iguana is a large, arboreal herbivorous species of lizard of the genus Iguana native to Central and South America. It ranges over a large geographic area, from southern Brazil to as far north as Mexico and the Caribbean Islands; and in the United States as feral populations in South Florida, Hawaii, and the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. It grows to 1.5 metres in length from head to tail, although a few specimens have grown more than 2 metres with bodyweights upward of 9.1 kg. Commonly found in captivity as a pet due to its calm disposition and bright colors, it can be demanding to care for properly.

Fancy: Less commonly known is the fact that several specimens have been known to grow to epic proportions if the right nutrients are available. The last known example died in 1966 after being cast as a Dinosaur in the popular but critically panned movie One Million Years BC starring Raquel Welch. Cause of death was unknown but critics suggested it was a case of acute, a severe embarrassment.
