Description

Due to the fact that most of ancient species die of starvation, tne number of scavenger species increased by a lot. Carriwabs are indeed an incredibly well engineered specie. Equipped with 360° rotative eyes, mounted on special muscular axis, two powerful, harpoonish front legs, and two musculous, digging-made rear legs, they can handle almost every type of terrain, and defend themselves against any oncoming menace. As it wasn't sufficient, they can in last chance escape by folding their legs around their spines, and roll along the planet's strong winds, in a quasi perfect tire shape. These tiny defensive fortresses can thus travel long distances, and can always find food, even ambushing small alive game when no big corpse is around. Deprived of any tooth, they stimulate their front mouth with the small tentacles around, excreting acid digestive liquid on their meal, in order to sip it properly. Their flesh, white and delicate, is a rich meal every Jiik will try to reach, but they are a pain to catch, as they can see hunters coming from every direction, and quickly propel and roll away, or dig in the soft sand._______________Part of my food chain contest, n°5: The scavenger.
