Description

Time: Same as Heed our Warning. Rexillion grasped his head. It had been aching ever since his encounter with Icarax and Fatalyze, and had steadily been growing worse. Any attempts he made at meditating to make the pain go away were futile, as were any other methods he tried as remedies. Suddenly, the headache seemed to leave the demigod. He wasn?t sure what had happened, but it was quite relieving. However, after indulging in piece of mind for several moments, Rexillion realized that he had nothing to do. The demigods had asked him to stay out of the meeting dome for the conference that was currently underway, and he was one of the few beings not to be participating in it at the citadel. He was very sure that the other demigods wanted to give him up-to-date information about the war personally instead of openly, but Rexillion would?ve preferred to be present at the meeting for if anything important was announced. Currently, he was standing outside of the citadel for some fresh air. He wasn?t a demigod of nature or life, but the outdoors always seemed to have some soothing affect on him. Rexillion closed his eyes and felt out to what he expected to be the light energy that had always encompassed Daxtian-42, but was greeted with something much, much more sinister. Rexillion jolted into an alert position and felt out again. Dark energy dominated the area, but where was it coming from? Rexillion suddenly turned to the source? or rather, turned around completely, for it surrounded the Citadel?s grounds entirely. It was a massive army, which the Demigod of Willpower made out as dark-armored insectoids. Some would appear to a human to be massive, more powerfully built versions of Earth insects, such as wasps and beetles, although some were more outlandish, with enormous mandibles and grotesquely huge stingers and blades. Some flew, while others were earthbound, and they all were in some kind of assault formation? Someone was clearly organizing them, and Rexillion quickly spotted out whom. Skornash casually approached the Citadel with his forces not far behind him, and Thraddaxx was just by his side. Rexillion considered bursting into the Citadel to warn everyone, but by that time the army would surely be upon them. Someone would notice the swarm of insectoids any moment now, so the Demigod of Willpower did the only thing that seemed logical in his mind: charge. And with that, he took off straight toward Skornash who had already spotted the other demigod. He nodded toward Thraddaxx, who stepped forward. Rexillion rapidly approached, but with the speed of a lightning bolt, the immortal assassin drew two blades from sheathes on his back and dashed up to the charging demigod. The next thing Rexillion knew, there was a gash in his side with a shockingly sudden pain. However, the demigod absorbed the hit and turned to his attacker. Thraddaxx faced his opponent with startling calmness. Convinced the two were thoroughly busy with each other, Skornash seized the free moment. ?Osmosis formation,? he thought-spoke to one of his minions. At that moment, a portion of the Kyzorai army split to form a path through their living barrier, while a faction of the forces on the opposite side of the citadel did the same. Rexillion glanced over as he heard a loud booming sound, just in time to see the titanic Sprynacirous and enormous Varaskopu charging toward opposing sides of the citadel. The assault had just begun.
