Description

Designed to hunt down American SSBNs and to protect Soviet ships from Allied submarines, the Victor class attack submarines are the Soviet equivalent to the US Sturgeon class hunter-killers. The pod above the sub's vertical stern plane is the housing for a towed-array sonar.
