Selki were naturally muscular creatures, but a shortage of quality food supplies on Selka Prime means most Selki, even soldiers, suffer from muscular entrophy (perhaps fortunate given their archtype and skill in battle). However, if provided with enough nutrient rich food and time, they can regain their strength. Not surprisingly, the nobility's slaves and personal garrisons tend to be given a double portion of rations to increase productivity and combat capability.
