Description

Time: A few minutes after Web of Betrayal. Rexillion desperately flew through space. Confucius had been unconscious for quite awhile now, so the Demigod of Willpower was forced to navigate the universe on his own. Confucius?s wound from his battle with Varaskopu was improving, but the sooner he received some medical attention, the better. He had given Rexillion a vague idea of where to go before passing out, so the best the Demigod of Willpower could do was search for familiar planet. He stopped to scan the area with his mind. He detected large amounts of energy coming from a region on a planet nearby. Rexillion flew in and landed on a field and searched around for signs of life. One thing was for sure? a massive battle had just occurred here. However, a large citadel caught the demigod?s eye. Something about it was familiar, and light energy dominated it, so Rexillion approached hesitantly. Why was he so hesitant? Even he didn?t know the answer to that. Perhaps it was after his bout with Skornash, he wasn?t sure who he could trust, but for some reason, something told him that the Order had a traitor on its hands. Suddenly, he sensed a powerful energy heading toward him. Rexillion readied himself for combat, although doing so while supporting the unconscious Confucius was somewhat uncomfortable. However, a green tentacle figure stepped out of the citadel and turned toward him, the Demigod of Willpower instantly recognized it. ?Perasn?? he said to himself in surprise, then shouted ?Hey! Over here!? waving his free arm. Perasn rushed over. ?Rexillion?? he said in a shocked voice, ?You?re still alive? But I thought during the Paradox?? Rexillion suddenly gripped the Demigod of Life?s shoulder and spoke in a rushed voice, ?Perasn, I need you to tell me; is there another war going on? And is Icarax the cause of it? Perasn slowly nodded his head and finally noticed the knocked-out Confucius. ?What happened to??? Rexillion cut him off again, ?An old friend and his favorite immortal jumped us on the way here. I?ll explain the full story later, but right now Confucius needs some tending to,? He explained. Perasn hesitated, then said, ?I?ll do what I can, but you?ve arrived at a bad time. It seems the Order has been betrayed here.? The Demigod of Willpower?s arms almost went numb. ?Wh-who? By who?? he uttered in a pained voice. Perasn gulped then responded, ?Raankuu.? As Rexillion staggered into the citadel with the Demigod of Life and the recovering Demigod of Right beside him, he didn?t notice a tiny insectoid, obviously a type of Kyzorai, leap off his body to the tentacle demigod?s as it transmitted what it had just learned to its master through telepathic waves. Skornash, at a familiar chamber in the Hive, smiled and said aloud, ?So the Order has been betrayed by one of its own demigods. Interesting, no?? The Voice responded, ?Very. Tell your minion to gather as much information about this betrayal as possible.? ?Gladly,? Skornash said.
