Description
This silicon based creatures can often be found roaming the planet Aerdrol's wide open plains. Most of their time is spent searching for the medium sized plants that dot their habitat, which are their main source of food. The odd formation at the tip of the creature's head is used for scraping of the top layer of these plants so the Ma'hara can get to the sap beneath. Ma'hara are generally solitary, and are usually skittish. If threatened, a Ma'hara won't even try to fend of its attacker. Most of the time a Ma'hara will just run away as fast as possible. Its tendency to run has earned the Ma'hara an important role in Ashthi mythology: the messenger. In ancient Ashthi temples, Ma'hara are often depicted carrying messages for the Ashthi goddess Isaiga. Because Ma'hara are believed to carry messages for gods, it has been made illegal for any Ashthi to hunt and kill one.
