They have no eyes, instead they make use of highly advanced echo location to navigate and hunt in the total darkness. Their bow shaped craniums house articulate resonance chambers for the receiving and interpreting of the echoes of their piercing calls. Adults Measure an average of 9 standard feet in height in their normal stooped posture, almost half again as tall when laid out for dissection postmortem. Their powerful forelegs have evolved to carry their hunched form through their tunnel environment, their hips where we would commonly expect to find the shoulders of articulating limbs, which have actually evolved from the Hypogeal Cereburian?s two pairs of lower rear limbs. One set of these articulating limbs ends in a pair of spade like gaspers with 6 inch claws, the other in a pair of bony chisel like blades. They drool excessively, and on contact with the oxygen in the atmosphere their saliva reacts to form sulfuric acid which they use to use to help bore through the limestone. Their hide is toughened against the acid and they suffer no burns from exposure to it. The acidic properties of their saliva also allows them to easily break down and consume every part of their prey?s remains including the skeleton, leaving absolutely nothing to waste. The Cereburian can be forced to go long periods of time without a meal sometimes lasting several months. To help them through these periods they have an elastic nutrient bladder which distends from their lower backs to store digested food for later use. *Created by Serevanth*
