I can get them to catch the ball, give the ball, receive the ball, but not throw the ball.

Try changing the walls if you're still having trouble getting them to attack- there's a wierd bug with the game that messes up the auto attack function when there are big buildings nearby. Saw on the forum they're having the same trouble.

This is pretty cool! You should keep playing with the advanced behavior settings to see if you can get teams throwing at each other...ahh...memories of junior high...
