Description

The Buran (Snowstorm or Blizzard), was the only completed and operational Russian space shuttle. Clearly influenced by the earlier American Space Shuttle, the Buran completed one unmanned spaceflight in 1988 before being canceled in 1993. By Nuked92.

lol in my trip to germany i visited a museum which had a Buran shuttle and holy crap! it's so freakin' huge....anyway nice reconstruction

Awesome model! The hangar collapse was pretty tragic- Buran really should have ended up in a museum (or even back in service). A few of the test versions are still on display, though.

Very strait from child-hood. I remember the mention of a soviet shuttle program. Nice rendition. For yer knowledge, M5000 has a thread known as the VCC (Vehicle Creators Club) which you may be interested in browsing and contributing.

Beautifully made! I especially like the recreation of the heat shields and the entrance hatch on the side. Mind if I put it in my Space Race SC?
