Description

Haiki'in are an unusual species of the tropical planet of Serbio. Unlike most of the animals there, Haiki'in are as comfortable in the crystal pools as on land. They evolved from a typical Serbian creature, but over time they developed strange features to help cope with an aquatic environment. I thin webbing pockets in between their claws to help them swim. However, typically Haiki'in use their large tail to direct and power their swimming. Because of this, during swimming their long legs would be more hindrance than help, so it is common to see specimens with their legs tucked into their bodies. A large nasal cavity protrudes off of their head, which allows greater intake of breath, which can be siphoned into the lungs at involuntarily regulated intervals. They possess a diet of both plant and animal, though it is clear that they tend to favour the latter.
