Some liked the Scimitar for its durability and reliability but it mostly received criticism for its lack of maneuverability. The famous Blue Devil Squadron managed to increase the craft's reputation for a time after using only two to destroy a heavily armed Kilrathi depot during Operation Thor's Hammer. After 20 years of service in the Kilrathi War, the trusty Scimitar progressed from "dated" to "hopelessly obsolete." The Terran Confederation pulled all Scimitars from active service in 2655 and surplus vessels were sold to the Free Republic of the Landreich and the Union of Border Worlds. The Border Worlds would use these craft during the 2673 Black Lance Conspiracy, although newer fighters would overpower these once-reliable craft. The Scimitar holds the distinction of being the longest-serving frontline fighter in Terran history, having served for over one hundred years after its development in the 2500s.

I have many Wing Commander ships left to work on, but my knowledge with the editor has increased vastly since my first attempt at the Scimitar. So here is hopefully an improved version.
