-->If you enjoy this creation please rate it on spore.coml-- The Pit Devil Spider is another of the projects developed by the AIA Hybrid Araneae Weapons Division for use in assaults on worlds inhabited by tribal and non space faring civilizations. These massive spiders can measure up to five meters without including the reach of their legs when they reach full maturity. The Pit Devils are burrowing spiders, digging pitfalls and tunnels in which to ensnare their prey. They dig a pit an average of 7 meters in depth and conceal the hole by weaving a trap door at the surface from web dirt and debris to completely blend in with the top side surroundings. Then they spin a thick web just above the floor of the trap with strands leading to the side alcove they have dug out for themselves to wait in to act as sensors which let them know when the trap is sprung. When a victim falls into the snare the web does nothing to break their fall as the pit devil intends for the target to break a limb lessening their ability to struggle, it merely entraps them and keeps them from being able to escape. Once incapacitated in the snare the pit devil will move in to finish entombing its victim in its webs before feeding on them alive. *Created By Serevanth* I am entering this spider in bigfoot93's spider contest!
