Description

Feline melanism occurs most often in tropical species, especially the leopard (Panthera pardus) and Jaguar (Panthera onca), whose melanistic specimens are commonly known as "black panthers". Curiously, no melanistic tiger (Panthera tigris) has yet been documented by science, but reports of black tigers have emerged from Asia since the 18th centaury. A almost balck tiger cub was born at the Oklahoma City Zoo in the 1970s and a skin was given to India?s National Museum of Natural History in February 1993 proving that tigers can have dark colouring.(This creation belongs to me, Jonathanrex1. If you see it anywhere else it?s stolen.)
