-->If you enjoy this creation please rate it on spore.coml-- Although catalogued officially as a Herbivore, the species of the Dark Ember Dragon could just as easily be labeled as a Carnivore or Omnivore. They do not fit neatly into any one of the three general categories, as they do not actually feed on either plant or animal, but rather on the ash from the charred remains of any biological matter. It has been argued that they as a species would be better described as being omnivores, since they burn and consume the ash of all biological matter. Due to their almost unique lack of a need for a metabolic caloric intake however, the new classification of Antivore has been proposed to better describe them. The Dark Ember Dragons are considered a blight scourging its way across the known galaxy. Their eggs first rain down on a planet in meteor showers and hatch quickly, then the rapidly maturing beasts set about incinerating all life on the surface using a combination of two chemicals sprayed from glands in their mouths, that when mixed create a natural napalm. It is not known how the Dragons are able to cast their eggs into space, or target life bearing worlds. This has lead some to believe them to be a bioengineered weapon created by a silicone based civilization on the fringe of the galaxy. It is certain however that when a planet is seeded by the beasts, complete eco-collapse follows swiftly as they burn everything into oblivion and leave the planet uninhabitable. It was thought that the adult dragons died off after depleting a world, but recent re-terraforming efforts on stricken worlds has proved otherwise as the hibernating dragons have then emerged from dens dug deep near the molten core to ravage the surface once again.
