(My main inspirations for this race were actually the Novakids from Starbound and the Makuta from Bionicle)
A race of cool plasma life forms native to the planet Temptarria in the Draco Dwarf galaxy (a real galaxy that orbits the Milky Way).

The Tikkitine evolved from simple plasma organisms inside Temptarria's sun Riish. A discharge flung some of these organisms into space where they eventually landed on the tropical world of Temptarria and adapted to the new environment. Evolving ways of cooling their body (so that they didn't burn everything) and finding new foods.

Eventually the Tikkitine. While known for their tiki like armour that they use for interacting on the environment and with other races they are nothing but a formless plasma clouds with a forcefield like membrane without them.

The suits started as simple tools like shells that they used to help manipulate things. Early models of the wooden armour were more spider like but became more humanoid when they found that the form was more useful.

In modern times with interaction from humanoid races some females take to designing their armour so that some of their body bulges out to mimic breasts. Not all choose to do this however and is merely a design choice.

Feathers are very important to their culture. In fact their actual currency consists of the feathers of a rare lizard native to their world.

Due to differences in chemistry Tikkitine come in a wide range of plasma colours. So some glow red while others glow blue or green.

Re Mii: I like that idea *suddenly images a Tikkitine lavished in golden leaves, decorated with gorgeous layers of burgundy and red silks, all while toting an AV/24 Plasma Carbine* Somewhere Latai sheds a small tear.

I like the colour scheme, the scarlet and blueish purple harmonise and contrast nicely. The background for this race is quite interesting, this with the suit composed of creature parts makes this creation quite unique and execellent. ^ - ^

For clarification: the part of the space simulator I had the mild lag were the areas with the large numbers of grey smoke effects, not the smaller coloured clouds.
