The Rhe?doan Union has operated under an improvised serfdom for millennia. The serfs must be loyal, and serve their Elder, the one who rules them. Lately, with the Union?s entry into the Galactic Council, the populist part is gaining ground, and something they?d never had before; outside support. Now calling themselves the Nalikall or ?Freedom Lovers? party, a small sect content to disagree in squalor, has risen into striking insurgency, and the forces of the Order, the ?Old Guard? now scrambles to ?correct? these upstarts that seek to overturn a government that has stood for thousands of years.
As a serf, all you want to do is live your life in service. This is all you know. But in times of great social upheaval, it is those who want nothing to do with the conflicts, who often suffer the most.

It's been a long time since I last fired up Spore, but I enjoyed this one! Really nice job portraying the story from the limited perspective of an apolitical and indoctrinated commoner.

Actually, I don't particularly like locking Captains because it discourages people from playing.

An excellent adventure. I think you forgot to lock the captain though, seing as I played as an armed space captain. The only bad thing was that the old guard's outfitting looked like it could use some refining. other than that, great start to the series.
