...For asymmetrical creatures, it's better to leave the arms symmetrical until you're done with the shape of the hands, then pose it, that way you don't have to build a hand twice.

...Basically just attach a two-part limb to the wrist for each finger a then pose the limbs into a hand shape. May take a lot of looking at your own hand if you can't create the shape intuitively...
