I know how to make it so wheels move and legs and lights shine and buildings to first go to the setting then go to vidio settings and make graphics all an high. :)

i had the same problem as you. When ever i played, Spore GA my creatures wings would not flap or run it would just hover, So if you get patch 5.1, and intall it,it will do everything it is supposed to do! it is because it it a new patch to the game Done.
