***please rate/comment!***Inhabiting the deepest, darkest abysses of any cephalopod on Echoid Prime, the Emperor Squid uses the rows of fluctuating bioluminescent nodes along its mantle to disorient and incapacitate prey in the pitch black water. At just under 100 feet long (without tenacles) the Emperor Squid is also the largest of any terrestrial squid -- many rogue waves have been blamed on an Emperor Squid making its annual journey to the surface in search of a mate.
