Wtf? Compare exhibit A and B. A was last saved on low graphics settings, B on medium. The are otherwise exactly the same. This floored me when I realized this. Come on, why should that make such a difference? The medium or high stuff gets MUCH more attention on spore.com and is far more likely to uprated and commented on, not because of how good the creation is but what the settings are on. Come on! That's a pretty needless penalty for people with sucky computers! If you can't play regularly on medium, do what I do; switch to medium briefly right when you're done making something and save it, so it comes out nice.

Heck, I set it on high when creating. I have to always play on low no matter what, other than the creator.

(Question) So, what you did was keep only the creature settings high on "Exhibit B" and keep all other settings low?

Thank you! I'v been waiting for someone to finally point this out ;D

PM me on the sporum for a link to tests I did on the Shine turning to blotches on lower capacity graphix cards. Pardon me trying to save a byte :)

Most people will tell you to remember to set your graphix on high when you're in the editor, and then set back to lower when in the game. I do all my creation in-game! BTW if you have a poor graphix card DON'T set it high, your shine gets rendered as black

The is definetly a major difference, primarily in lighting and shadows. R+ on this experiment.
