Why don't you give the good blue ones some more angelic charcteristics like feathered wings or something. And for the evil ones, why not replace the mouth with maccabjaw or whatever it was called, and replace the fins with death spikes.

Have you thought of trying to think of ways to differentiate the two dragons from the two sides. I mean they look exactly the same othere than the good ones are blue and the evil ones are red and black.
