The name of Comet's Spirits originated from a tale told by superstitious explorers, who came across the creature on distant planets and were fascinated by its elegant shape, quiet nature, and supposed insubstantiality, as well as its smooth glide and pale colors. They called the creatures 'Comet's Spirits,' and believed them to be the ghosts of a comet that struck the planet. Skeptics, of course, ask how a comet could have a ghost- the storytellers convieniently ignore this question.
