?Greetings: ?Hello there. I?m Captain Scifi?or rather, that?s what I?d like to be called instead of ?your highness?. Yes, I?m the ruler of an entire galaxy but I?d prefer you talk to me like anyone else. I despise grandiloquent honorifics?but ranks, those are earned. Mostly.?
?Myself: ?First and foremost I think of myself as a space captain. Even in my duties as an emperor I try to maintain the same principles in the meeting rooms as I do adventuring; protect those in need, no matter the cost. Yes, this line of thinking has earned me a lot of enemies? but if they have something to say, they?re welcome to say it to my face?be it in a meeting or on the field.?
?Fascinations: ?People fascinate me endlessly. In my youth, I had the silly goal of befriending everyone I met. But I?ve since learned that no matter what you do, some people just can't be reasoned with?or reached. And still, I hope that one better day, this whole galaxy might finally agree to cease needless hostilities and sit around one very large table, talking through our differences with reason instead of weapons.?
?Family: ?I?ve got quite a family; a beautiful wife, two bright daughters and five valiant sons, each of whom I love dearly. Though, I am not sure how much my children love me back. That?s a hard thing to admit, but? I know I wasn?t the father they deserved. I disapproved of the way my own father raised me and my brothers, and yet I was ten times worse toward my own. Now that I?m finally in a place to be a better father? it's a bit too late.?
?Favorite Food: ?Apple pie. And not just any apple pie, but one made using apples that once grew on trees of my homeworld. But since Surruria is now a complete toxic wasteland, I?ve had to grow my own in the palace?s garden from seeds revived through cloning. Still? they?ll never be as sweet as those that once grew in Surruria?s soil.?
?Favorite Drink: ?Nothing like a cold beer after a successful mission. I?m kidding, I actually don?t even drink alcohol unless it?s a special occasion. Dulls the senses, and I always want to be fully aware of my surroundings. Anyway, my honest favorite is a cold glass of cocoa. I know, a bit childish, but so what??
?Love: ?Selflessness.?
?Hate: ?Selfishness.?
?Aspirations: ?That once I become too old and frail to keep this shattered vase of a galaxy together with glue and tape, someone else will do it in my stead. I know there are good, honest, brave people out there? but they keep getting punished for their good deeds far too often for my liking. I want to pass my duties to someone I fully believe can not just replace me?but surpass me.?
?Fears: ?I fear many things, but most of all, I fear the day I fail not my subjects, family or the galaxy as a whole?but myself. I?ve been made into a monster by others more times than I dare to recount. But that?s nothing compared to the idea of me willingly abandoning my ideals and using my power and position for the sake of compromise.?
?Hobbies: ?Adventuring. I know, not a ?hobby?, but I just can?t see myself playing tennis or collecting holo-stamps. Going on adventures, seeing the galaxy, helping people?nothing gives me greater bliss than improving someone's day. Be it by saving their stuck spoffit or overthrowing a dictatorship.?
?Past: ?I find myself thinking about bygone days more and more often? How easy and simple things used to be in my youth. How many things I took for granted. How many people I hurt through my blind compliance. In trying to make my role models proud, I became just another ?follower.? It took me far too long to see that truth, but? I see it now. I'll never ask for quiet obedience?I welcome doubt.?
