Description
The larva stage of the Violet Charmwitch. They start their life inside the prey they were planted in, eating its insides, then turning on their own brethren. Only one out of hundreds of larvae make it out of the prey's hollow corpse by bursting out of it.

Sadly not, I don't read many books lol. Though parasitic larvae/embryos have been a thing both in nature and in pop culture, like take that one wasp that injects its eggs into spiders or, hell, even the Xenomorph as examples
