Description

Victim of an unfortunate crime, Armatus was once a syndicate envoy of the Avasian Remnants. Contracting a virulent wasting disease, Armatus lost considerable sums for want of affordable healthcare, he failed to cure it. Abandoned in the labyrinth metropolis of Ozina (of Motel of Melora fame), Armatus survived through sheer brutality, the local Mobsters saw potential in him so grafted his body with exotic prosthetics thereby purging Armatus? disease via cybernetics at the cost of his sapient soul. On the day of surgeries, Armatus died some. Half held memories lingered in his mind of the once Grand Avasian Empire, horrified to learn again of its? demise: crushed between civil war and the great disappearances, those tides only stopped by route of uncontrolled military spending and temporary alien alliances lost to history. Eventually, when his uses dried up, Armatus was left for the vultures of Ozina. Only the kindness of a passing Dweeble spared his fate, revived by the doctor, Armatus stood dazzled by the grandest of things: not of gold and money, not even the majesty of space and star, no, he realized that the greatest deeds were found in selfless service. With the Dweeble, he now lives on Tropadia V, the world of many jungles and the dankest flora. As a new-minted sheriff, he lives up to the Grand Avasian Purpose more than he ever has before. Secretly running errands for the Dweeble doctor, some of them not entirely fair to the inhabitants. On occasion he is called forth as a personal terminator, otherwise he is sent off to the stars to enact duties that resemble a Space Captain but without the esteem. However, the burning nucleus of his soul writhes, he feels he has been a robotic dandy for too long. Something stirs unseen while his master is distracted with a recent profound discovery. Will he shed his chains at last? Only time can tell. --- Equipment: clad in nano-carbon and good old titanium, his armour is both symbiotic force and soul binding prison. The plating is coated with special ceramics that disperse the thermal energy found in a variety of incoming munitions. The armour also has a suite of sensors, and a handy shoulder lamp! His weapon is a revolving firearm, originally of syndicate Avasian make: composed of beauty and basic brutality, it fires rocket-propelled munitions, it cannot be fired safely without glove mounted assistance as bare minimum. These shots can vaporize anything less substantial than a domestic vehicle. The rest, though important in function, is too boring to mention for want of space-violence. --- Notes: This creature/captain is fully functional in game, complete with tested animations and gameplay balance. He has not been designed to be overwhelmingly powerful, yet when properly set-up, either as an NPC or player character, he is appropriately strong at a medium capacity. --- Imagined Abilities: 1: Pummel: Strikes single target for flat damage and bleed induced by spiked knuckles. 2: Pristine Shot: Direct ranged hit on target, increased damage with added AOE. Offset by long cooldown. 3: Pistol Whip: Strikes and stuns single target, using butt of pistol with augmented strength. 4: Wild Shot: A poorly aimed but fast shot, will always ?graze? the target for lower damage. Offset by low cool down.
