The Xerian KX78 was a mass-production national fighter of the 38th century, most prominently seen in action during the Yeroh War. Its design was the product of a collaborative effort between local companies, headed by the design staff at the V?raxi Weapons Corporation. The KX78 boasts above-average flight performance relative to the average Eastern Sector design. This is largely due to the craft?s ace up its figurative sleeve - a marked technological advantage in the energy and electronics department. The KX78, like all contemporary Xerian designs, features the advanced new ?plasnetic? wiring technology reverse-engineered from Celestial war vessels. Such technology integrates the digital information and power distribution systems of the ship into a single, unified system, greatly increasing power efficiency and decreasing the ship?s overall mass. Despite all of this advanced technology, in a real combat scenario, the KX78 was only on par with the cheaper but better-engineered YH-12 of the Yeroh Space Force. This was largely due to the latter craft?s superior target detection and acquisition range, allowing it to fire the first shot in most if not all engagements.
