Description
2 years after designing the I-3B, Escotoma Iziplao needed a new racing ship for the 4022 Epsilon League. In his typical fashion, he designed another asymmetrical racing ship, the I-4A, combining together a Dractorot DSP-6E and an old Iskeyan PEQI-24 for it's propulsion. A sheet of "RadiFabric TM" had to purchased from Loattlemer for additional cooling for the PEQI-24.
Overall the I-4A FRB doesn't offer a significant improvement in speed or acceleration over the I-3B, however the endurance at full power has significantly improved, as well as the sensor suite which has allowed for much finer tuning of the systems during flight and a better ability to react to other racers. It's sometimes joked that the I-4A can detect what the other racers are doing before they start doing this.
Needless to say, despite the lack of improvements in the main parameters that most racers optimize for, the additional optimizations that the I-4A has do give it several aspects that it can take advantage of during races.

Powerful design, a worthy sucessor to the original. The ship looks almost evil thanks to its more prominent dark texturing
