*entry in BIazingStar's 'The Great Pond' contest*
Majestic giant moth-like creature who contributes greatly to the pollination of water lilies of the Great Pond, where it also lays its eggs. Its larvae feed on the lilies. The Lily Mothoids are thriving in the Great Pond. It is partialy due to the fact they are enormous, so they don't have any predator after they reach adulthood. They also live very long, about 10 years on average, with a larva stage of 2 years. Moreover, an adult's diet constists mostly of small amphibians like frogs or small toads, which come in great numbers in the pond.
