Description
The Murk Leapers are quite small and their soft paddle-like appendages do not afford them much aid in land and aquatic mobility, but their massive webbed feet allow them to take lengthy jumps and powerful bursts of speed while swimming. They are born in the water and spend about half of their life in it, mostly during the day when they hunt for easy prey. As they mature, they begin to burrow under or inside of trees surrounding their ponds and as they get older they spend more and more of their lives out of the water. Despite Their size they are physically very durable and highly territorial - it's theorized they would have often bullied smaller wildlife around the Great Pond into submission. However, as excavations continue of the area, it is clear their ecological niche may have been threatened as more and more unknown specimens are being uncovered around the jungle during the excursion.
