Description
In the Salt Flats, if you were to gaze off into the right direction, on the horizon you would most likely set your eyes on the massive Obsidian Peaks. Forged from the intense volcanic activity that once plagued Meridian, these massive marvels are true sights to behold. The tallest formation extends at 32,455 ft (9.892284 km), known as Mt. Olympia.
Unlike the Salt Flats, which is home to mostly nomadic and scavenging species, the Obsidian Peaks are home to a wide array of avian species. It?s quite a sight to watch as flocks of species commune and participate in intense aerial ?dog-fights?, fighting for survival. The abundance of wildlife use the Obsidian deposits as gastroliths, which slowly erodes the formations little by little, and reveals large quantities of extinct volcanoes hidden below.
