Description
What was once a oceanic ecosystem eons ago, Meridian's Salt Flats now only hold a scarce reserve of wildlife and fauna. However, the biome is teeming with a diverse collection of mineral deposits.
Besides the species of animals that scour the harsh biome, it is the weather that proves to be the most hostile. Violent sandstorms extending hundreds of feet into the sky, spiral across the Flats, kicking up collections of salt and debris. During the day the Flats can reach 48.88°C, at night the temperature will descend to 2.22°C, making it a hostile environment for any species not accustomed to the drastic weather currents.
