Description
As a vicious apex that roams Meridian's salty flats, the Diamond Tyrant gains its name from the shimmering diamond-like texture that acts as its camouflage. On its head are plates that shield the antennae used for sound, sight, and taste. The small "ear slots" on the sides of its head serves as its means of breathing.
For its ?mouth?, it has a lower appendage that will quickly eject, piercing its prey to retrieve its nutrients. The upper appendage, however, is used as a means of self defense by releasing a high frequency to scare off rival predators. These frequencies are similar to say, the roar of a lion.
Another noticeable trait about the Tyrant would be its thick tail. Males often with the bigger tail are seen as healthier and fertile. The same is applied to females, allowing her to carry up to 8 eggs. However, the Tyrant's tail can detach, taking 6-8 months for a new one to grow back.
