Description
Vicious flying predators, these shark-like fliers are aerodynamic to the Nth degree! While they are incapable of using wing flapping as a flight method, they have vents near the base of their wings, which take in water.

If they knock down something big enough for the whole squadron, they'll lock their jaws into it and head for land. The one creature that these things can't stand are Hammerhead Hydrojets, which are slower, but more vicious than Coastals.

Once the squadron leader finds prey for the rest, it ups the fuselage and torpedoes in front of they prey, where it is knocked out of the air via a strong blast of steam. Once it falls, a Hydrojet will snag it and fly off, starting a game of "Keep-Away."

Coastal Hydrojets, like most members of their species, hunt in groups, called squadrons. Their eyes have a bright blue second eyelid, which saves them from squinting with all of the wind in their eyes.

However, if the predator didn't get the hint, the Coastal Hydrojet has one last trick up its thrusters: it turns around, starts its engines, and sprays scalding-hot water in the predators face!

When threatened, these horse-sized creatures gun their "engines", creating a thunderous "BANG!", which is usually enough to scare would-be predators out of their skin and send them running.

They are not made for swimming, so they don't move too fast in the water. Their calls sound like machine-gun fire, even with the distinct "Rata-tat-tat-tat

Coastal Hydrojets are the fastest species of Hydrojet, as they are the only species that is capable of breaking the sound barrier. When low on fuel, they dive into the water to fill their tanks, but cannot take off from the water.

Inside the wings, the water is heated up, turning into steam, which is expelled in high pressure out of the thrusters. The wing tanks can hold up to 6 gallons of water in each wing, allowing them to fly for at least 18 hours, as they never waste fuel.
