Description
Streetcars used to be a common sight in New Orleans. They were a mundane convenience to most, except during vacation months when tourists made their use impossible. After the Fall, however, they took on a more sinister purpose. A group of engineering students turned street thugs, operating as part of the gang the controlled the ruins of Loyola and Tulane Universities, commandeered every streetcar route in the city and transformed the vehicles into moving fortresses. In addition to rigging a conventional combustion engine in each car, freeing them from the fixed streetcar lines, the former students replaced the streetcars' wheels with improvised tank treads and reinforced every inch of the vehicle's bodies that they could. All windows save for the driver's were replaced with corrugated metal backed by ballistic material. Several of the streetcars simply had a large, thick piece of sheet metal covering one or both sides of the vehicle for use as a barricade and for cover during gunfights. While the modified streetcars didn't corner exceptionally well, they were fast. The gang used this to their advantage and used the streetcars as battering rams; sending the reinforced bulk of the vehicle full-speed into a building, effectively breaking any and all defenses. In this manner, the gang robbed several arms dealers, using the weapons to arm both themselves and their war machines. Most of the streetcars sported mounted machine guns, and several even had improvised turrets, operated remotely from within the vehicle. Every rival gang in the city soon grew to fear the corrupted local landmarks, and the former college students eventually captured and controlled the majority of Uptown.

You know, I'm dying to ask you: Are you in the Supernatural fandom?

The phonetics I used were as simple as possible. If you just use A for A, it's kinda hard; A could be Ah or Ay or Uh. But saying it in the alphabet it's Ay, isn't it? You don't say "Uh, bee, see," or "Ah, bee, see".
By mphst82
Of course it's all in funny...but DON'T YOU HURT MY WEE ONES!

They're not terrifying, they could be plushie dolls, dude! Just don't "test drive" the ST, his head gets all wonky and it's disturbing.

The AT-ST isn't as cute. His entire body is a mouth...a mouf wif teef!
By mphst82
Aw, come on man. The AT-AT is just a lil guy. The only rebel bases he's destroying are ant hills. =] (and for the sake of nerdism, it's "ay-tee ay-tee", not at at).
