RE captain: I'm sure she would. Its a fun adventure. And you know an adventure should be played at least once if it has about 100 knockoffs. Imitation is the highest form of flattery as they say.

RE captain: There are still a few diplomatic adventures out there and a number of fun and silly adventures like the hugely popular Star Slide that would still suit them quite well. Sports adventures would suit Sox especially well.

RE slaves: The Silvermist would be a prime target. Weak and vulnerable races make for easy prey. By the sounds of it even some of the smaller empires wouldn't have trouble defeating the Silvermist.

RE captain: I do have a transgender character and I've been meaning to make him and his brother captains but since they would only be useful in non-violent adventures I really haven't been bothered.
