Description
A dawn-of-the jet age high altitude fighter concept. The Me-161 was fitted with 2 powerfull Daimler-Benz turboprob engines and would be later considered 'The F-104' of prop times due to its rather stubby wings. Armament consisted of 4xMK-108 30mm cannons.

A coupled turboprop? Sounds like a German idea all right... R+.

awesome looking fighter, really cool design and great work on the paint

They do, but probably it would have needed a launch catapult to accelerate it to the required lift-off speed since no runway in the late war time would be that long since every major airfield was bombed.

are those wings enough to even lift it?

they are right about claling it the F-104 of prop times, the similarities are striking. This looks very nose heavy and I bet the pilot hates his view over the nose
